Dylan Karle grew up in New York City. He was a highly active child; and, in addition to more typical sports, he eventually found his way to the flying trapeze. First experiencing trapeze as a flyer/student, he went on to work as a trapeze photographer for 2 years, and as an instructor since 2010. Initially, he pursued an undergraduate in biochemistry until he was abducted by his love of glassworking, and absconded to Salem Community College in southern New Jersey to pursue his interests.
Due to his athletic background and empathetic nature, Dylan is currently exploring sculpture of the human form, the kinesthetic elements of glassblowing that make it such a unique medium, and the source awareness that we a flow from, through, and to. Each sculpture is a meditation on aspects of our inner/higher selves and the interconnection between all things.
